I’m Jillian, and I’m a Minnesota-based Registered Dietitian who specializes in helping runners, skiers, cyclists, and other active individuals learn how to best fuel their bodies for training, performance, and living a full, healthy life.
I’ve been a runner for nearly my whole life, and started out running road races with my dad when I was 10 years old, so it makes sense that I feel so passionate about working with other endurance athletes. I was an All-American in cross country in college, have continued to run and train since then, and hope that I can run or do some kind of endurance training for the rest of my life.
I’ve made lots of mistakes with my own nutrition throughout my years as a runner, and I’m here because I honestly love the idea of helping others to avoid making the same mistakes I have. I also find that training and racing are the most fun and gratifying when you are properly fueled and perform well, so that plays a role as well.
My favorite foods are the following, in no particular order: vanilla ice cream, graham crackers, yogurt, tortilla chips, cheese, baby carrots, and burgers. Just in case you were curious! I don’t believe there is any perfect eating, and believe that food is not just fuel, but also something that brings us together, and something to enjoy.
I currently live in St. Paul, Minnesota, where I love to run and bike loops on the river, be outside in any way possible, spend time with my husband, our son, and our corgi, frequent the farmer’s market, and (of course) cook and eat great food.
